JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Contract Payables Accountant Remote Local candidates

Report to: Accounting Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:

Accounting Records and Transaction Processing

• Accounting from initiation to reporting and validation for purchase transactions including, operating expenses, capital expenditure, prepayments etc.
• Completely and accurately record supplier invoices for inventory purchases, services, employee expenses etc.
• Completely and accurately record credit cards transactions for employee expenses, subscriptions, travel, services, office supplies etc.
• Completely and accurately record credit notes in supplier accounts for returns and adjustments
• Prepare payments for suppliers and employees periodically,

• Prepare and record journal entries
• Perform accounting for fixed assets including construction-work-in-progress, capitalization of commissioned assets, depreciation of assets and disposals of assets
• Perform accounting for prepayments to suppliers and service providers including, amortization of prepayments
• Perform accounting for advance payments, follow-up changes in status or resolution and perform subsequent accounting of such advance payments
• Prepare tax returns for services including From 1099 annually

• Validate accuracy and completeness of payments, credit notes,
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and schedules to support relevant balance sheet accounts

Financial Close and Reporting

• Monthly, quarterly and annual close processes through – perform cut-off procedures, record close entries, prepare reconciliations and analysis to support balances
• Quarterly (10-Q), Annual (10-K) and event-driven (8-K) processes support through preparing supporting schedules to footnotes, disclosures, MD&A

payment discrepancies and documentation

monitor discount opportunities, verify

federal id numbers, schedule and prepare checks, and resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or

Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers and General Ledger accounts after analyzing

invoices, pro-formas, quotes, expense reports etc.

Integrity of Financial Results

Perform periodic personal self-checks to ensure complete processing of obligations e.g. invoices,

quotes, pro-formas etc.

Perform other TransMedics duties and tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two years’ experience performing accounting and transaction processing
• Multi-company and multi-currency environment would be advantageous
• Knowledge and understanding of transaction processing in an ERP-based accounting environment Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with manufacturing, medical devices, hi-tech would be a plus
• Positive disposition to new ideas and alternative approaches to solutions
• Willing to be held accountable for deliverables
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
• Clear and concise in verbal and written communication

EDUCATION:

• BS in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
