Summary
Travelers is seeking a visionary leader for a VP, Enterprise Talent Management position. This role will serve as the chief talent architect, creating the strategy for a talent ecosystem to deliver a superior employee experience and meet business objectives. The individual will be accountable for leading and implementing innovative talent solutions at an enterprise level, from early career through top executive talent, as well as overseeing the design, development and implementation of Travelers’ core talent solutions.
Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team that evaluates, designs and executes performance and talent-assessment initiatives and resources to improve results, enhance experience, and deliver against business priorities.
Partner with HR, learning, and business leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness strategy that drives optimal culture, organization design, team effectiveness, employee engagement, leadership, role clarity, and change.
Oversee the evaluation, refinement, design, development and execution of new or existing performance management/appraisal frameworks and processes, succession management programs, leadership development programs and coaching and mentoring programs.
Create and manage cross-enterprise and individualized career development solutions.
Create and support tailored programs to develop current or potential executives’ performance, skills and/or competencies.
Serve as thought leader advisor to HR and business leadership by leveraging external market insights as well as qualitative and quantitative data. Identify trends to set talent strategies, effectiveness, ROI and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree plus 8 years of talent management or related human resources experience.
Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
10-12 years of talent management experience in a corporate matrixed environment with 5-7 years of experience leading teams.
Strong ability to consult with stakeholders, leverage interpersonal and communication skills, and build credibility and trust across a broad range of levels within the organization.
Experience with Workday Learning and/or Degreed would be beneficial.
Job Specific Technical Skills & Competencies
Demonstrated track record of developing talent strategies and leading through organizational transformation and change. Strong ability to lead through ambiguity while navigating and removing barriers.
Excellent complex problem-solving capabilities with the ability to inspire and influence others though innovative ideas and change leadership.
Strong track record of leveraging the capabilities of talent management systems and applications to advance the talent management agenda. Experience with Workday a plus.
Ability to analyze, interpret and present data to support business challenges and initiatives.
