LAB TECHNICIAN are…
Responsible for doing all chemical analysis on chrome plating line. The candidate must be able to accurately follow written procedures, record and document all analyses, and other tasks as listed below. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works near moving mechanical parts, the employee is exposed to wet and humid conditions, fumes, and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, and extreme heat.

Role and Responsibilities – Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Collecting, receiving, labeling, and/or analyzing samples using the correct testing equipment, when necessary.
• executing laboratory testing in line with standard testing and interpreting findings.
• Recording all test data and test results accurately and in the specific format (written and/or electronic).
• Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to all the times within the laboratory.
• Maintaining daily logs and equipment records.
• Cleaning, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment.
• Providing technical support, when necessary.
• Keeping up to date with relevant developments within the Plating Process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED or proven experience working as a lab technician (chrome plating helpful)
• Ability to interpret OEM specifications and apply to testing process.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment when needed.
• Comfortable handing potentially dangerous substances (corrosive chemicals)
• Working knowledge of MS Office (word, excel)
• Keen attention to detail.
• Analytical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 – $18.00 per hour
