Primarily responsible for Same Day Surgery Coding (SDC), requires experience with coding surgeries for Gynecology, Colorectal, Plastic and Reconstructive, Oral/Maxillofacial, Podiatric, Spine, General Surgeries, Colonoscopies/ Endoscopies, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterizations and/or others.
This position can be performed remotely, CT residency is not required

You Will Be Responsible For :
Technical Familiarity: Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of coding which includes accurate assignment of first listed diagnosis (primary) code, secondary diagnoses, ICD-9-CM procedure and CPT-4 code, HCPCS assignment based on all approved documentation for outpatient accounts and the appropriate code assignment based on coding conventions.
Active Teamwork: Follow up with appropriate staff person in each ancillary area to obtain necessary documentation to complete coding of accounts in timely manner
