Troscan k Hiring for Senior Designer- Furniture and Objects at Chicago, IL Full Time

Design centred, high-end residential furniture company seeking a Product Design and Manufacturing Systems Designer fluent in both digital and hand skills for full time product development and prototyping in Chicago IL.(please no remote work candidates) Candidate must have a minimum 3 years design hands on experience specifically within high end furniture design and object development . Preference for candidates who have experience physically making and prototyping objects and furniture and are comfortable in a wood shop environment. We focus in-house on wood manufacturing but are involved in many materials and processes (bronze, casting and mold making, cast glass, metal fabrication, upholstery etc) and seek a flexible industrial /product designer to meet our growing product development goals.

Minimum requirements for consideration
* BFA or greater in product /industrial design

MUST HAVE Digital Skills:
* Solidworks, Fusion 360, After Effects, Keyshot, Photoshop or similar 3d rendering software, CAD/CAM programming experience and engineering processes
* Concept and Communication skills: 3D Sketching, storyboarding , research, and hand rendering
* Excellent communication skills and ready to collaborate in a team environment.
* Research and resources development in CMF and vendors sourcing a bonus.
* Fluent in English and eligible to work in US.
