Summary:
The HR Manager reports to the Director of Talent Development & Learning with a dotted line to the CEO. This role leads HR functions, including but not limited to hiring and interviewing staff, compensation, benefits, leave, company policies and practices, and internal compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff as needed.
· Supports leadership in the execution of constructive and timely performance evaluations.
· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
· Actively provides feedback, coaching, mentoring, and training to internal employees as needed.
· Strives for positive team culture and engagement, maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment.
· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
· Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
· Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
· Conducts division meetings, prepares, and submits required administrative reports and financial information to executive management.
· Partners with the Director of Talent Development & Learning and senior leadership to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy.
· May oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
· Provides HR support and guidance, at times addressing complex, specialized, sensitive questions, and issues that may arise; may be required to administer and execute tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
· Ensures employees follow all policies and procedures and can author internal HR policies with proficiency.
· Suggests changes in policies and procedures based on employee and company needs.
· Ensures all internal employee data is up-to-date and reportable.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS (preferably ADP) and talent management systems as well as other compliance tools and resources.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
· A minimum of 3 years of management or leadership experience and 3-5 years of experience in a generalist, HRBP, or similar role.
· SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP desired.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
· Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities and work in an office setting. This position is not remote.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
