Performs moderately complex activities in support of the human resources function. Areas of expertise include benefits, compliance, and HRIS. Responsible for employee file maintenance and documentation compliance for legal and hospital credentialing reasons. Manages the data input and processing of information into the HRIS systems, processing electronic personnel action submittals, and support of licensure tracking. Works on benefit projects including customer service for and processing of retirement requests, and the transition of our defined benefit plans to one vendor. Assists the benefits team with duties related to benefit enrollment, changes, and notification of changes to appropriate benefits vendors. Looks for and suggests process improvements and streamlining of manual work and helps to create sustainable automation within the HR department and its systems. Coordinates monthly payments with Tuality’s retirement plan vendors, and produces monthly queries as assigned. Available as potential backup for presenting benefits information during new hire orientation sessions as well as with newly benefits eligible employees as needed. Available as backup support for coordinating with other HR staff on the union increases. Assists with HR policy management.

a) Education: Preferred; Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years’ experience in Human Resources or related field.

b) Certification: PHR preferred.

c) Demonstrates excellent customer service and organizational skills.

d) Preference for proficiency with MS4/AS400 (used as HR database), iCIMS (applicant tracking system), PlanSource (online benefits enrollment), Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, MCN policy management system and other HR department systems.

e) Builds relationships across all levels and departments and problem solves without direct supervision.

f) Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure with many interruptions.

g) Demonstrates ability to work effectively across cultures and other differences.

h) Uses effective communication skills in written or verbal interactions.

i) Experience with suggesting and developing process improvements and automation.

j) Demonstrates ability to prepare and analyze statistical reports.

k) Bilingual skills a plus.
