Turner’s Splicing LLC is a small Company. We are bold, demanding and our goal is to grow our team and produce the best quality work possible for our customers across Texas. A splicer is responsible for ensuring that specific telecommunications systems are fully functional and are operating within company and regulatory standards. A splicer works with a variety of different telecommunications equipment and network components and must remain up to date on ever-changing technology. Splicers work in facilities that can contain potentially harmful levels of electromagnetic radiation, so they must be able to work under strict safety standards while being able to quickly troubleshoot any issues with the systems they splice. This job is not for everyone. You must be able to learn quickly, work fast with your hands, have good eye sight, attention to detail and hours of focus.
Responsibilities:
- Splice fiber optic cables with precision.
- Maintain tools, vehicle and equipment.
- Know how to splice wavelengths.
- Understand signal parameters.
- Understand wavelength transmission.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver’s License (Required)
