Job Details:
SUMMARY:
This is a part time position responsible for the physical security of the facility, including assignments to walking or stationary posts, depending upon the location. The position will require inspection and control of persons and vehicles while entering or leaving the facility, logging of truck traffic during ingress and egress, writing reports, performing preliminary investigations in addition to switchboard operations, two-way radio communication and intercom equipment.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Checking identification of all visitors, vendors, contractors, and Team Members, allowing only authorized personnel into the facility. Checking all carry-in items including bags, briefcases, toolboxes, lunchboxes, etc. Writing investigative reports. Preliminary investigations of accidents, thefts, workplace violence, and other incidents as needed. Roving or walking through the plant to check physical facility security. Log truck traffic during ingress and egress to the facility and inspection of all motor vehicles driven into the plant.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School diploma or or equivalent preferred but not required.
Experience:
None required.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills are desirable, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Communication:
Excellent communication skills are a necessity and applicant must possess the ability to interact respectfully with all Team Members, including Tyson Management. Must have the ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
Other:
Requires a valid driver’s license.

Supervisory:
None.
Shift:
Max 30 hours per week, day shift hours and some weekend days as needed.
