Summary About the Position: This position is located at the 75TH RANGER REGIMENT HEADQUARTERS FORT BENNING, GA Responsibilities Serves as a recognized staff-level authority in one or more Civilian Human Resources (CHR) specialty fields i.e., Recruitment and Placement, Position Classification, Employee Relations, Employee Development, Labor Relations, or Employee Benefits. Serves as an HR advisor/principal contact for management officials of serviced organizations (e.g. ASCC headquarters, Major Subordinate Commands, and other supported units). Researches, develops and writes internal policy dealing with a wide range of civilian human resource management issues. Provides advisory services regarding employment, realignments pay systems, leave and overtime, and customer support. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience providing a wide range of advisory services and customersupport. Advising managers on Civilian Human Resources Programs and Policies for programs. Experience in staffing such as reviewing requests forpersonnel action (RPAs), awards, hiring requests, verifying TDA and manpower documents. Evaluating federal laws and regulations to determine local application on civilian human resources policies and programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service Human Resources Management Oral Communication Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
