About the Team
Uber Advertising’s vision is to offer the most marketplace-centric advertising to connect Uber’s platform users (eaters, riders, and earners) with advertisers. Uber Advertising’s platform brings together location based and shopping data with closed loop attribution across its mobility and delivery channels for performance and brand campaigns, enabling advertisers to engage with our consumers through the entire marketing funnel – from awareness through purchase to loyalty and advocacy for Uber users.
About the Role
- You will be responsible for crafting commercial opportunities through first-party platform and consumer insights, new, existing proprietary and syndicated research, presenting compelling sales arguments that empower the sales team to drive commercial revenues.
- You will also be responsible for ideating and delivering thought leadership insights programs and by identifying key industry topics/issues and championing outstanding and innovative methodologies
- You will launch and lead all aspects of tentpole Insights programs and projects from start-to-finish, deploying a range of methodologies – analytics of 1st party data, qualitative and quantitative
- You will advise the go-to-market strategy for Uber Advertising products and offerings through market intelligence support – providing insights on the competitive landscape, product feasibility, customer personas and forecasted trends to inform and influence the product roadmap
- You will source and coordinate the relationships with 3rd party research suppliers – including managing the procurement process and budget for these resources
Basic Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience in Advertising, Marketing, Research, Consumer Insights, Audience Measurement or Audience Insights
- Experience and expertise using and integrating disparate datasets to drive thought leadership, strategy and business impact
- Foundational to proficient expertise using analytical and data science tools, i.e. SQL or Python
- Ability to interpret data and recommend action on a variety of analyses.
- Proficient in the advertising and/or marketing data landscape, and have a foundational understanding of the advertising ecosystem to be able to credibly speak to and about audiences, platforms and media
Preferred Qualifications:
- 8+ years’ experience in an advertising and/or marketing role, especially in Research, Consumer Insights, Audience Measurement or Audience Insights
- Masters or advanced degree in Marketing, Business, Market Research, Data Science or Analytics
- Previous experience in a global capacity
- Previous public speaking experience on advertising related topics
- Previous publishing or byline experience on a media or advertising insights topic
For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $107,000 per year – $119,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year – $132,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $119,000 per year – $132,500 per year.
