Maintain accurate and current personnel information in University personnel, payroll and timekeeping systems following established University policies and Union Agreements. Assist in the management of workers’ compensation claims and monitoring employee leaves of absence. Additionally, incumbent interprets University policies and procedures and provides guidance to client departments on related personnel and payroll matters. Additionally, incumbent assists HR Area Manager in employee and labor relations matter as needed. Act as a certified fingerprint roller in order to conduct final candidate background checks.

Previous work experience and working knowledge as an HR generalist.
Required
Working knowledge of human resources practices, policies, regulations and procedures regarding staffing, employee and labor relations, training and performance management.

Ability to understand and interpret federal and state laws and guidelines related to leaves of absence, workers compensation and labor law.

Demonstrated ability to analyze policies and procedures and determine compliance of existing procedures and guidelines.
