The Forestry Instructor is expected to bring innovation and leadership in managing, coordinating and overseeing UCC’s Forestry Program to help this program continue to grow and thrive. This program enjoys student transferability opportunities to Oregon State University’s College of Forestry while also enjoying huge support from local Umpqua Valley business and industry. The Forestry Instructor will continue to deepen these connections to offer UCC students the best possible futures in the many fields of forestry.

This faculty position is primarily responsible for teaching forestry and natural resources courses for both college transfer and professional technical courses. Evening or offsite classes may be part of the assignment. The position will include an instructional schedule with lower division courses; student advising; course and program assessment; college committee work; recruitment and retention; and engagement with students, campus colleagues, and community/advisory committee members. Faculty members are expected to demonstrate and maintain competence in each of the following areas throughout their employment at the College.
