ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administer the full cycle recruitment process. Creates job requisitions, posts positions, maintains applicant tracking system, conducts phone screens and in person interviews in conjunction with hiring managers, provides follow up candidate communication.
2. Review and make recommendations for compensation for new hires.
3. Extend verbal employment offers to candidates and provides written offer letters and employment related documents.
4. Administer new hire on-boarding.
5. Provide training to hiring managers on applicant tracking system, and interviewing process.
6. Collaborate with managers to update and maintain job descriptions as necessary.
7. Administer annual Affirmative Action reporting.
8. Facilitate new hire orientation as a backup to HR Assistant. Prepares and organizes necessary paperwork and documents in advance.
9. Administer the annual benefits open enrollment process in partnership with UVP.
10. Answer employee questions regarding benefit plans.
11. Interpret and administer all leave of absence requests in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, Pregnancy Discrimination, etc).
12. Work closely with employees to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted timely and coordinates all aspects of return to work for employees on leave.
13. Assist with employee relations issues and interpret and explain HR policies and procedures as necessary.
14. Review payroll prior to processing to ensure accuracy of all HRIS data entry, including but not limited to, new hires, employment information changes, rate changes, deductions, garnishments, and terminations.
15. Process payroll periodically and as a backup to Payroll Manager. This includes running various reports after payroll has been processed (overtime, 401(k), G/L) and assisting with various year-end payroll items.
16. Conduct audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs for record keeping and payroll deduction accuracy and recommends necessary action as needed.
17. Assist with the development of policies and procedures to promote efficiencies within the department.
18. Create and run ad hoc reports as requested.
19. Support UVP HR efforts that effect all practices.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four year college or university, and five-ten years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous HR experience in a healthcare organization is preferred. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.
