Job overview and responsibilities
Recruiter – MBA & Campus is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success and assist in promoting a strong employment brand on select university campuses. Create a positive candidate experience through a high touch environment. Develop and execute recruiting strategies at select universities, employing traditional strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. Hires may be for an enterprise program, internship program, or for a functional role. Build and maintain relationships with students & clients to ensure hiring targets are met and recruiting metrics are tracked. Communicate regularly with students, career placement offices, recruiting team, and clients on process / status updates, reputation / trends on campus, and feedback on candidates. Maintain complete and accurate record-keeping details in compliance with federal and state requirements. Recruiter – MBA & Campus plays a critical role in building United’s reputation on campus, building our employment brand on campus, and attracting top talent to meet business needs.
Create on campus recruiting strategies at each school; collaborate with division leads and campus team
Ensure enterprise lens with all efforts; one consistent image
Closely monitor competitive trends (school & industry). Initiate, organize, staff, and attend campus events
Activities / Events may include: career fairs, networking nights, career/recruiter forums, feedback sessions with new hires / alumni / interns, usage of recruiting campaign materials, promotions/sponsorships, and/or other externally focused efforts
May work with external vendor to support external recruitment activities
Primary liaison for candidates / student clubs to company
Development of key sourcing activities, which may include: external job posting, employee referrals, usage of former interns on campus, pipeline development/management, university personnel, website advertising or other sourcing methods
Facilitate interview days; may interview prospective employees for non-exempt and exempt positions
Assess candidates to determine if their capabilities match the job requirements
Activities may be telephone-based or in-person; administer pre-placement testing. For example, knowledge or skill-based tests, simulations, etc
Conduct debrief sessions with hiring manager to discuss candidate qualifications
Activities may include reviewing test data, interviewer’s recommendations or leading/participating in selection decision-making meetings for internal teams
Negotiate offer to successful acceptance
Communicates final status with all candidates
Develop plan to ensure offer acceptance
Crafts and provides developmental feedback for candidates not selected
Rescinds offers as necessary in the event a pre-employment hurdle is not met
Maintains complete and accurate staffing documentation as required by law
Updates information in United’s applicant tracking systems to ensure compliance and accuracy of metrics
Interfaces with Talent Acquisition Center as appropriate to process candidates and fill positions
Provides subject matter expertise in specific staffing and HR projects
Required
Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
3 or more years HR experience
At least 6 months to 1 year dedicated recruiting experience
Demonstrated good judgment and confidentiality
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service orientation
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, highly team-oriented environment
Excellent time management, follow-through and organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail
Strong communication and ability to build relationships with all levels of personnel required
Strategic and forward-thinking
Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and ability to delegate work as needed
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer and databases
Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% during peak season (Sept-Mar)
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Preferred
University / Campus recruiting experience
Experience with recruiting program administration
Experience using Taleo or other applicant tracking systems (i.e. iCIMS)
Experience using HRIS platforms (i.e. PeopleSoft and COMPAS)
Experience with project management disciplines
Experience in managing large & small scale events
Understanding of colleges & university career placement offices
