About the Position…
The Director of Human Resources (DHR) is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities.
The Director of Human Resources (DHR) is responsible for ensuring that the day to day activities of the HR Department are performed accurately, timely and efficiently and according to Bank policies, procedures, HR laws, and regulatory guidelines at all times. This position will manage, mentor, train and support all department personnel, and oversee their work product at all times to ensure its accuracy and timeliness. The DHR will obtain prior approval from the Chief Operating Officer prior to the hiring or firing of any bank personnel. They will also obtain approval from the Chief Operating Officer for any change in title, location, or salary. They will ensure that all offer letters and related content are consistent with HR laws and best practices, and that all terminations and write-ups are thorough, accurate and timely. The DHR will advise the Chief Operating Officer of any situations that could pose risk to the bank immediately, and will make recommendations to the Chief Operating on how we can improve the effectiveness of the HR department and related activities. The DHR will work closely with the various department heads and executive team on recruiting efforts and will manage inside/outside recruiters to ensure that their time and priorities are consistent with desires of the executive team. The DHR will work closely with the appropriate HR attorney on updating the Employee Handbook at least annually to ensure compliance with all employment laws and HR related best practices to reduce our level of risk associated with HR related activities. The DHR will ensure that all new hire orientations are effective and timely, as well as ensuring that all personnel files are complete and properly maintained. As confidentiality of HR related matters is paramount to the success of the bank, the DHR will assure that all HR related matters are held in strict confidence. This position will also perform a variety of other duties such open enrollment, salary comparison surveys, salary ranges, job descriptions, payroll and benefits, and other duties as assigned. This position will assist the Chief Operating Officer with special projects, including mergers and acquisitions as requested The DHR will ensure that employees are assisted promptly, courteously, efficiently and professionally at all times.

You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team environment. You also have the following:
Education/Certification: Bachelors degree in human resources or related field.
Required Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of federal and state human resources policies and procedures. Thorough understanding of banking regulations and standard banking practices.
Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in a HR Manager role, preferably in a financial institution.
