Engineer will be responsible for the initial installation / configuration and testing of satellite telecommunications uplink and downlink ( transmission and reception )equipment such as :

– HPAs – High Power Amplifiers C Band, Ku Band – SSPA , TWTA , Klystrons .

– Satellite DVB-S2 Modulators

– Satellite DVB-S2 Receivers / Decoders

– Upconverters, downconverters, BUC

– LNB , LNA

– Large, motorized antennas for earth stations

Engineers shall have experience in the use of RF test instrumentation ( Spectrum Analyzers , Power Meter )

Installation of HPA – High Power Amplifiers – Monitoring & Control Interfaces ( RS232, RS485, Ethernet , SNMP , etc )

Knowledge of satellite antenna pointing

Knowledge of satellite antenna installation and commissioning desirable – antenna patterns , side lobe balancing , etc

Knowledge of antenna tracking systems desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
