Responsibilities

• Oversees recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
• Develops and monitors overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
• Develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
• Supports current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
• Monitoring various aspects of an employee’s performance, such as attendance and sick leave
• Accesses training needs, designs and implements training programs accordingly
• Handles disciplinary processes and formal grievances
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Ensures legal compliance throughout human resource management

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE at least 10 years of experience in Manager Human Resources with an emphasis on employment, employee relations and benefits – preferably in logistics
• Bachelor’s degree required. PHR or higher certification required
• Must demonstrate independent judgment and initiative with excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong planning and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements at the Federal and state levels is required
• Experience working with an HRIS system required
• Must have outstanding PC skills to format reports, presentations, and spreadsheets
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate and work with employees at all levels required
