This role is responsible for maintaining safe, legal, efficient, environmentally sound, and economical operations activities of the branches in the region. Provides direct support and oversight to Manager National Operations.Functions as staff to the Manager of National Operations – ChemCare and coordinates with other members of the Corporate Office and Regional staff to achieve safety, regulatory compliance, and profitability.

What You’ll Do

• Formulate and submit for approval to Director of Operations and Manager of National Operations – ChemCare both long- and short-term operating programs and plans, including fixed asset investment budget on a fiscal year basis.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of standard operating equipment, policies, procedure, methods, and systems within the region with corporate guidance.
• Recommend new or improved policies, procedures, safety standards, methods, and equipment within the scope of his/her responsibilities.
• Work with and advise Regional Managers on facilitation and internal and external logistics recommendations.
• Recommend, plan, and oversee maintenance, modification, expansion and or improvement of facilities in conjunction with the Terminal/Branch Operations Manager to the Director of Operations.
• Recommend and approve specifications and capital expenditure request of operating equipment and containers to Director of Operations and Manager of National Operations – ChemCare.
• Visit off site locations, branches, and work in progress at regular intervals to review the operational activities and equipment; and implement or recommend/report the changes or corrections needed.
• Keeps Director of Operations, Manager of National Operations – ChemCare appraised of environmental site investigative work and corrective action progress. Support Environmental Affairs work within the region.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other Federal, State and Local regulations. Insure required permits and reports are timely and in order. Conduct routine safety audits on regular intervals.
• Support and participate in the Quality Process/Cases within the region.
• Support and act as liaison with all lines of business within our organization.
• Ensure training programs and systems for regulatory requirements and for development of personnel at all operating levels are conducted and documented.
• Recruits and maintains current and future candidates for Field Services roles in the region to insure open roles are filled timely.
