Job Discription
The Certified Nursing Assistant works under the direct supervision of the licensed nurses or medical providers to administer direct patient care and assist with the flow of patients in the ambulatory medical clinic. This position will function as part of a team and work with a diverse patient population. Other duties as assigned. While the main location for the CNA will be in the primary care clinic, there will be opportunities for cross-training in the women’s clinic to provide staffing coverage as needed.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma
At least six months of experience providing personal care to patients in a facility, home, or private services organization or working in a direct customer service role
OR
The formal education equivalent of a diploma from an approved Certified Nursing Assistant program
Required Certification or License:
Must be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant or eligible to become certified within six months of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
At least one year of experience in an ambulatory clinic setting
CPR certification
Medical Assistant training
Registered Medical Assistant
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proficient skills with obtaining vital signs including manual blood pressure readings, obtaining patient history, and navigating electronic medical records
Must have effective communication skills and be able to function as a member of a team
Ability to assist medical providers with office procedures and application of removable orthopedic devices
Ability to perform CLIA waived lab tests
Salary Information:
$30,854
