Job Summary |
The Director of Pharmacy Supply Chain will oversee drug procurement within the UK HealthCare Enterprise. Primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: providing oversight to the Acute Care Class of Trade (COT), Retail COT, and Specialty COT drugs; maintaining 340B compliance in the inpatient and outpatient setting, UK’s contract pharmacy partners, and the bi-annual inventory of drugs in conjunction with UK HealthCare Finance; serving as a liaison between drug manufacturers, wholesalers, group purchasers, the 340B Prime Vendor, and various supply chain vendors regarding sourcing needs; and managing drug shortages and ensuring proper communication of any supply chain related issues. Lead pharmacy CDM update initiatives for proper billing and 340B accumulation to ensure supply chain revenue management integrity. This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted. |

Preferred Education/Experience |
5 years of experience or Pharm D with PGY2 in Health System Pharmacy Administration preferred. Master’s degree in business and/or healthcare administration also preferred. |
