GENERAL SUMMARY
Reporting to the Executive Director for Admission and Registration Services (EDARS), the University Registrar provides strategic direction, supervision, and mentorship to a busy, multi-faceted service office of committed staff distributed across multiple campus locations. The University Registrar is responsible for the maintenance and integrity of all student data and academic records, and helps ensure adherence to university policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations including FERPA. The Registrar manages all staff and functions associated with student academic records, including but not restricted to: planning and executing course scheduling and student registration; curriculum and new program set up in the student information system (Jenzabar); maintaining, securing and archiving student records; executing transfer credit transactions; processing grades, degree audit, validation and conferral; coordinating the appeal of academic dismissal and exception to academic policy processes; the dissemination of accurate, timely and secure enrollment reports; and assists with the edit and publication of the University Catalog/Handbook. The University Registrar plays a central role in the development and implementation of university academic and administrative policies affecting students and courses, by engaging in regular interactions with university leadership. Furthermore, the position supports the vision for an innovative, result-oriented and forward-thinking staff by fostering a culture of collaboration and service-centric excellence and the exploration and implementation of advance technologies in support of the academic enterprise.

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels. Work involves operation of personal computer equipment for six to eight hours daily and includes physical demands associated with a traditional office setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions as necessary.
