POSITION SUMMARY:
The Residential Experience Coordinator – Residence Halls reports to the Director of Student
Development and is responsible for the development and community engagement of 2-3 residence halls. This position is directly responsible
for the supervision of assigned student staff, implementation of residential curriculum, coordination of resident engagement, and support
Residence Life administrative functions such as life safety services, residential staff trainings, and/or assigned divisional Student Life
projects.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:
Student Leadership Supervision & Mentorship:

• Select, supervise, coach, and evaluate assigned student staff.
• Mentor Senior Resident Assistants to advise assigned Hall
  Governments.
• Maintain visibility and presence as a positive role model within assigned communities to educate and challenge
  students through personal and professional development.

Community & Student Development:

• Develop
  & promote intentional student interactions and programming focused on the curricular experience with departmental learning outcomes,
  including implementation of curriculum that seeks to create a meaningful residential experience.
• Coach residents in their identity
  growth through support, mediation, referrals, crisis intervention and follow-up through a culturally competent lens.
• Collaborate
  with Student Success Coaches to develop academic and learning strategies within residential communities, including student staff.
• Support experiential learning by facilitating faculty and staff led Living-Learning Community programs.
• Serve as hearing
  officer for residence life related conduct cases.

Administrative Duties:

• Manage budgets to assigned
  residence halls for programming, hall governments, staff appreciation, and the other Residence Life initiatives.
• Maintain
  collaborative relations with Housing & Dining, Student Life, Dean of Students Office, Counseling and Psychiatric Services, Campus
  Security, and other campus resources.
• Effectively utilize operational systems such as Maxient, ResLife Portal, and Adirondack
  Housing Director, and Starfish.

Student Outreach & Crisis Management:

• Serve in a designated,
  rotating on-call rotation for approximately 3500 residents with other RECs.
• Provide on-scene response to campus situations and
  offer support for Resident Assistants in conjunction with Campus Security.
• Implement and enforce the Residence Life Code of Ethical
  Standards, Housing and Dining License Agreement, Housing Policies, University of Tulsa Student Code of Conduct, and all State and Federal
  Laws
• Provide expedited outreach and follow-up for students of concern, including additional staff members as needed, and updating
  behavioral intervention teams as directed
• Communicate appropriately through incident reports and email notifications in a timely
  manner.
• Coordinate with all members of Student Life team to promote consistency, solve conflicts, and provide personal and
  professional support.

Student Life Projects:

• Plan and facilitate student staff leadership selection,
  training, in-services, Spring Seminar, move-in, and assessment with other Student Life staff.
• Assist in the development and
  implementation of manuals, educational materials, training programs, and procedures for residence hall staff.

MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; two years of full-time experience in a university
residential life or student affairs program with equivalent graduate assistant work considered.

PREFERRED
QUALIFICATIONS:
A Master’s degree in higher education, college student personnel, or college student affairs administration
from an accredited institution; experience supervising, advising, coaching, evaluating, and holding undergraduate student staff accountable
for performance; and on-call duty rotation experience.
