Visiting Assistant Professor in Geology
The Department of Geosciences at the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma,
invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in Geology (non-tenure track). A Ph.D. in geology or a closely related
field completed within five years is required. Preference will be given to candidates who pursue research and fill our curricular needs
including Structural Geology, Geohazards, Earth Systems and History, Scientific Programming, and advanced electives that enhance our current
geology, environmental science, and data science curricula. Experience in characterizing subsurface porous systems such as Carbon Capture,
Utilization and Storage (CCUS), wastewater disposal, geothermal and/or petroleum systems would be a great asset.
The successful
candidate will be expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and conduct research with students beginning August
