Posting Summary
Reporting to the Director of Residential Life (Res Life), the Associate Director of Residential Facility Operations (ADRFO) provides the day-to-day management and strategic leadership for oversight of all residential facilitates on campus, totaling 43 buildings which house over 6,000 beds, seven dining halls and retail stores, and host offices for a range of student and administrative services. The ADRFO plans for, directs and manages complex facility improvements, provisions the delivery of services and equipment, and oversees moving and maintenance support. Informed by University goals, best practices, federal and local regulations, and innovations in the field, this position partners closely with campus partners to enhance a safe, inclusive, and welcoming residential experience through the prioritization of life safety, sustainability, accessibility, and other essential practices. Represent the department, division, and UVM to internal partners and external constituents. This position supervises three supervisors, who oversee eight represented staff.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as facilities and construction management, business or higher education administration and six years of progressively responsible experience, to include vendor and budget management. Effective team leadership skills and supervisory experience required. Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with standard office software and relevant technologies. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a range of internal and external partners. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.
