UPMC Harrisburg Hiring for Supervisor, Financial Aid at Harrisburg, PA Full Time

Supervises compliance for all federal, state, and other regulatory requirements for the Schools of Nursing. Collaborates to define and
develop the policies and procedures for the financial aid process. Implements, manages and communicates controls and measurements
(internal/external reporting) of the financial aid process.

Responsibilities:

• Perpetuate
  internal/external communication regarding financial aid program requirements and procedures. Participate in financial aid meetings, events,
  conferences, & seminars.
• Accept financial aid applications & forms; review for completeness, accuracy; verify information
  reported on student applications to determine eligibility for awards; screen applications; review student folders, transcripts, test scores,
  and process.
• Provide direct supervision of staff.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and Quality Departments to assist with
  audit activities. Advise the Associate Executive Director, Business Process, and any affected staff of any new state or federal laws or
  regulations that may affect business processes.
• Develop and maintain records management policies and procedures. Prepare and manage
  a records disaster recovery plan. Maintain an electronic records management system including coordination with the information technology
  staff for backups, security, systems validation, and audit trails. Research records retention regulations including laws, regulations,
  industry custom, and company preference.
• Update key management staff of regulatory changes/developments and implications of new
  financial aid legislation. Establish a method for uniform and consistent records management.
• Research, interpret, apply and comply
  with federal, state and other regulations governing student financial aid; maintain current working knowledge of guidelines/regulations
  related to financial aid.
• Overall financial aid program/system management inclusive of staff. Collaborate & coordinate efforts
  with cross functional teams (PMO, OSPARS, Accounting, IT, etc.) to maintain & improve compliance.
• Define & develop policies
  & procedures for the financial aid process, reporting, compliance, & review. Implement controls & measurement for financial aid
  policies & process; perform routine control testing; report & recommend remediation of any findings to maintain program
  compliance.
• Lead project teams for compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Accounting,
Finance or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in the administration of
financial aid programs. Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred. Superior computer skills required. Must have strong analytical
skills and problem solving capabilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must have strong organizational skills to
ensure that student records are retained for the length of time to satisfy all requirements and do not place the company in violation of any
federal, state regulations, or accreditation standards.
