Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as: planning, development, and execution of the policies, plans, missions, and goals of the agency’s mission; making recommendations to senior management regarding changes to program direction, staffing, and allocation of funds to improve the quality of service through statistical and data analytics findings; and managing and coordinating the formulation and issuance of policies, procedures, standard of operations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
