USmax Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Manager to be responsible for day to day operations and routine functions of the Human Resources function to include employment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, training and recruitment.
Responsibilities & Duties:

• Partners with the leadership team to execute the company’s resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to retention, succession planning, and professional development.
• Provides guidance to management relating to complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues.
• Handles disciplinary matters, investigations, and terminations.
• Prepares, maintains and tracks all federal, state and local compliance requirements.
• Reports and recommends best practices and policy updates as required.
• Provides ongoing support to recruiting activities.
• Responsible for FMLA and Workers Compensation claims.
• Responsible for orientation and onboarding staff.
• Responsible for benefits administration.
• Responsible for researching/recommending/delivering training and professional development programs.
• Responsible for comprehensive HR function recordkeeping
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in Human resources, talent management and employment law.

Experience

• Minimum of Seven (7) years of relevant experience in HR management and recruitment preferably in the federal contracting arena.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of on-boarding, retention, and off-boarding procedures.
• Experience with developing and maintaining employee handbook.
• Awareness of regulations applicable to federal contractors and experience with OFCCP requirements
• Experience with Affirmative Action Plan, EEO-1, Vets 4212 filings.
• Computer proficiency (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
• Experience with HRIS & ATS systems.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (10) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification & SHRM membership desired.
