The Public Relations Team is looking for an external communications contractor to help execute public relations activities in support of its executive positioning program as well as other integrated marketing campaign-related needs. In this role, you will help the consulting executive team continue to build their brands in the marketplace and share their perspectives on the issues shaping the market and impacting our clients. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively and simultaneously serve as a trusted communications advisor for senior leadership, PR strategist, and work cross-collaboratively with other firm communications professionals, external agencies and partners.
The public relations professional will work closely with multiple teams – Talent, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, business and account teams as well as other marketers and internal communications team members – to position the executives aligned to their specific platforms and business objectives. This position reports to the Executive PR program lead. Additionally, this PR professional will also support the execution of additional PR activities related to a specific marketing campaign. Therefore, the ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize and work across teams is critical.
Specific Skills Required:
Proactive and reactive earned media management, integrated marketing strategy development, executive positioning, social media strategy and execution
* 10+ years of prior, relevant communications experience required: Knowledge of communications fundamentals with experience leading and managing projects in a global, highly matrixed organization
* Undergraduate degree, ideally with a focus in communications, journalism, English or a related business field
* Excellent communication, collaboration and relationship development skills a priority
* Experience in coaching and providing feedback to high-level leaders
* Strong social media skills and experience as it relates to professional and executive brand building
* Proven ability to contribute to communication program execution: Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently delivering high quality results
* Superior Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
* Agency experience preferred
* Experience in B2B industries including analytics and supply chain preferred
