Vaco Staffing Hiring for Human Resources Manager – Permanent Hire at Columbus, Ohio Full Time

Vaco is assisting a midsize company in North Columbus find a Human Resources Manager.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Human Resource Manager will be charged with serving as a strategic partner for the company. The HR Manager will be responsible for providing Human Resources leadership, guidance and counsel to management and employees on company guidelines, employee relations issues, compliance issues, performance management, and training and development needs. The HR Manager will seek out opportunities to increase employee engagement and satisfaction and will collaborate with other HR partners in leading or managing multiple project initiatives aligned with our business strategies, objectives and growth initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Support management with general HR programs including training, employment law compliance, compensation and benefits administration, recruiting, new hire orientation, employee relations, and performance management.
• Assist in the execution of the Human Resources strategic plan in support of the overall business unit and corporate strategic direction
• Work closely with managment and employees to understand business issues and opportunities and assist them in developing and implementing HR initiatives to address those opportunities
• Implement and manage HR operating standards for the business (ie Succession planning, on-boarding, overall talent management processes, etc.)
• Assist leadership teams in improving organizational
• Positively communicate and demonstrate Core Values by developing trust and respect among peers and staff; build strong teams and partnerships and driving results
• Develop, maintain, analyze and communicate HR metrics to key regional business leaders
• Assist in the acquisition and development of talent to ensure business needs are met
• Ensure effective utilization of performance management feedback systems and processes. Leverage the information obtained from performance management tools and collaborate with other key HR partners to build plans to identify gaps in current and future talent needs
• Enhance employee and management performance by identifying and addressing training & development needs
• Administer compensation programs based on corporate guidelines; participates in job evaluations and pay decisions as required
• Perform other job-related duties as necessary

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
• 5 to 8 years of progressive responsibility and experience in Human Resources
• HR Generalist experience with an emphasis in Employee Relations, as well as a comprehensive experience in all facets of the Human Resources discipline
• Must have strong project management skills with the ability to organize, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Solid PC skills with proficiency in MS Office including MS Word and MS Excel
• Experience with utilizing an HRIS
