Summary/Objective
As a Senior Accountant at Validus Senior Living, you will be responsible for supporting a broad spectrum of accounting functions, as well as basic payroll and billing functions, as assigned. As a member of the Finance Team, you will be handling all transactional functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will assist our financial operations in support of our communities.

On occasion, there may be exposure to outdoor spaces, which will, by their nature, have variances in air quality, temperature, walking surfaces, lighting, and other physical aspects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Certifications, Licenses, Education, Experience and other Special Requirements
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business OR an Associate’s Degree with several years of experience comparable to the Accounting role is required. 3 years of accounting experience is preferred, but not required. The Senior Accountant should possess strong verbal and written skills as well as exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced computer and technology competency is required. Must exhibit proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with applicant tracking databases is highly preferred. Additionally, the senior accountant will have strong planning and organization skills with a demonstrated record of balancing multiple priorities. The ability to operate strategically with a high sense of urgency, focused o delivering quality and results.
