Come join our team in Des Moines, Iowa! Our Dismantler (Demanufacturing Technician) is responsible for the safe removal of used, core, and scrap truck parts according to the dismantle list. They are required to remove and reclaim all fluids or waste associated with the chassis. They also participate in part inspection and quality control.
Each day will look different, but general duties include:
- Safe removal of all truck & equipment parts.
- Mark or tag all parts associated with the vehicle in the dismantle bay.
- Follow the dismantle list from start to finish paying close attention to the details.
- Work with department lead to identify and update part descriptions if necessary based on part inspection/quality control.
- Removal and proper containment of fluids such as oil, fuel, gas, coolant, power steering fluid and DEF.
- Reclaim Freon from the refrigerant systems.
- Capability to diagnose and repair when needed.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage plus an excellent commission-based incentive that is paid with each bi-weekly paycheck.
Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday (47.50 hours/week). Overtime pay each week and commission pay as well!
