Vantage Health positions community physicians to provide local, individualized, and compassionate care to patients at nine locations in New York City. DESCRIPTION:
The Mammogram Technologist will perform diagnostic or screening mammograms to patients. Demonstrate knowledge of clinical procedures, equipment and policies that are necessary for job performance. You will properly prepare and protect patients for procedures to ensure their safety and comfort.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations in a professional and safely manner.
Educate and explains procedures to patients.
Obtain and document, patient history and pertinent information.
Perform required clerical work when necessary to maintain patient records.
Maintain a clean and orderly environment, mammography room and equipment, and mammography processor and dark room.
Develop exposed x-ray film by using processing methods.
Assist physician during needle localization, biopsies, and stereotactic procedures.
Document procedures regarding quality control and quality assurance for mammography in compliance with ACR and MQSA.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
New York State license required. ARRT required.
At least 1 year experience performing Mammography required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
