BUILDING CUSTODIAN I
Salary: $3,828/month (BC-02)
Performs routine manual work in cleaning and maintaining the interior of a public building; performs heavy lifting and simple maintenance repair work as required; and performs other related duties as required. May be required to work weekends, nights and holidays.
GROUNDS KEEPER
Salary: $3,828/month (BC-02)
Maintains lawns and landscaped areas, cleans comfort stations, collects refuse in parks/recreation areas. May do heavy lifting and minor repairs. May be required to work weekends, nights and holidays.
LABORER I/LABORER II
Salary: Laborer I $3,828/month (BC-02) / Laborer II $3,936/month (BC-03)
Digs and backfills holes and trenches; loads, moves and unloads dirt materials and equipment and does other heavy manual work and/or various semi-skilled manual work.
UTILITY WORKER I
Salary: $3,936/month (BC-03)
Performs various janitorial, grounds keeping and unskilled or semi-skilled work such as setting up floor panels, stage equipment and platforms, may do heavy manual work; and performs other related duties as required.
There are eight (8) anticipated Grounds Keeper vacancies with the Department of Parks and Recreation.
This list will be used to fill temporary and permanent, current and/or future positions in various city departments located throughout the City and County of Honolulu.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Building Custodian I: Some experience and/or training in janitorial, housekeeping and/or general laboring work.
Desirable experience for Grounds Keeper and Utility Worker I: Groundskeeping, landscaping experience, and/or some janitorial, custodial, or related work experience.
