Vaughn College, in Queens, New York, seeks an assistant vice president of human resources to support the faculty and staff. Founded
in 1932, Vaughn serves a population about 1,300 students and 300 full-time and part-time staff. More than 80 percent of the students come
from a minority background, and the majority of faculty and staff are also diverse. The ideal candidate will be a team player, an excellent
communicator and understand the importance of developing talent for long-term retention.

The assistant vice president directs
human resource is a critical role in the institution and supports every department on campus and is assisted by two human resource
generalists. The successful candidate will be a collaborator, effective communicator and a transformational leader. The person will have a
record of innovation in progressive management responsibilities and technical expertise in human resources. Areas of responsibility include:
employee relations, compensation, recruitment, organizational development, benefits, strategic planning and training programs with an
emphasis on employee relations. The position reports to the vice president of finance and business services and often works closely with the
