Accounts Receivable Accountant

Vecna Robotics seeks an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to oversee the billing and accounts receivable process. The AR Accountant will own the daily accounting operations and act as the point of contact for customer account queries. The ideal candidate for the AR Accountant is detailed-orientated with experience owning and maintaining accounting processes.
Reporting to the Senior Accounting Manager, this is a fulltime, salaried roles with benefits based in our Waltham, MA Office.
In this role you will:
- Manage the billing and AR process.
- Own the process from contract award (or PO) through receivables.
- Understand and manage:
- Billable services and T&E.
- Aging and collections process.
- Customer set up process.
- Act as the point of contact and escalation for key customer account queries.
- Recommend, create, and implement improvements to accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes work assignments, methods, or procedures to meet operational needs where applicable.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure effective cross-collaboration and timely billing-specific query resolution.
- Understand revenue recognition – ASC606 – Software.
- Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field required.
- 3 years’ experience accounts receivables and general accounting.
- Proficient in Excel and Word, QuickBooks, Full cycle ERP system experience a plus.
- Experience with revenue recognition – ASC606 – Software.
- ERP/Implementation experience.
- Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
