Assigns fleet vehicles to authorized personnel, and schedules and coordinates preventive maintenance and servicing of such vehicles on an assigned shift; and performs other related duties as required.

There is one (1) vacancy with the Honolulu Police Department. Shift work, holiday, and weekend work is required. May be exposed to vehicle fumes and noise, and possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Appropriate safety measures are used to mitigate exposure to hazardous conditions. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Four years of clerical experience, including or supplemented by two years of experience which shall have demonstrated knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair operations.
Such experience must have demonstrated the knowledge of general automotive repair and maintenance terminology and procedures; fleet operations and practices; recordkeeping methods and practices; filing systems; office practices and procedures; report writing; and the ability to monitor and schedule maintenance and repair requirements; coordinate the use and maintenance of motor vehicles; park vehicles; set up and maintain records and files; prepare reports; follow oral and written instructions; deal tactfully and effectively with departmental personnel; operate standard office machines.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of a valid driver’s license (automobile/Type 3), prior to appointment.
