Work directly with and report to the human resources director regarding all HR endeavors
Support HR director in educating employees on and enforcing company policies
Assist in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, and tracking of new possible candidates in HRIS
Help with new-hire procedures, including organizing employee orientation, creating new employee files, administering employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to appropriate persons
Organize, maintain and update employee HRIS information as needed
Track benefit plans, including health care, retirement, etc.
Prepare materials and help organize employee performance reviews
Execute all employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits they are entitled to
Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface
Abide by company-enforced HR processes and current employment laws and regulations
Under the leadership of the HR director, be a vital source of human resources information, answering any questions employees may have
Support any other special projects the HR director needs assistance with
Requirements and Qualifications
Four plus years of relevant experience in HR work, HR competence and knowledge of HR process and computer programs
Administrator and coordinator experience
Able to maintain confidentiality regarding employee relations and other matters
High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelors degree in human resources or related field, SHRM-CP credential preferred
Able to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Highly organized and efficient worker; skilled at multi-tasking, strong time-management skills
Positive and personable demeanor
Ability to handle stressful situations and fantastic at managing conflict
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Excellent collaborator
Attentive listener
Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed
Understanding, empathetic and relatable
Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability
Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite
Experience using HR software and HRIS databases
Reliable and personable; enjoy working with a diverse range of individuals
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Able to physically travel via car for long periods of time and air travel to visit our various locations
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Environmental Factors
Must be willing to work in extreme weather conditions such as desert and snowy climates
