Vetted Health Hiring for OB/GYN Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Health System in Western Georgia at Fort Smith, AR Full Time

A health system is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage. From the home of The Walking Dead to Georgia’s largest state park, west Georgia has endless sights to see and explore! The beeper call schedule is as follows: weeknights from 5 PM to 7 AM and weekends from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 7 AM. There may be occasions where an earlier start is required for vacations, but advance notice will be given. The OB coverage includes low and high-risk cases, ultrasounds, and amniocentesis, while labor and delivery responsibilities involve routine, complicated cases, VBACs, and C-sections. In gynecology, you will handle GYN surgeries, office and minor procedures, and circumcisions. In the clinic, patient volume is not applicable, while in the hospital, you will see no more than about 5 patients at a time, though this is rare. The focus is primarily on OB cases, with very few GYN cases. Rounding will be required. Support staff includes hospital nurses, but there are no known APPs on staff. Dates Needed:
