VHI Transport Hiring for National Account Freight Representative Job at Remote Full Time

Job Description:

Although company is headquartered in Chester, VA, for the right person, domicile is negotiable. Experience in truckload or LTL, with some shipper following is required. VHI also does intermodal, flatbed and container work and any air and ocean freight to most major countries. We also offer storage solutions and cross docking across the U.S. as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Establish and develop capacity opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, qualifying and make warm and cold sales calls, and closing deals accordingly.

• Develop your own target prospect list to ensure that future new business development is planned in advance

• Coordinate and follow up on selling activities with our CSR team.

• Maintain close working relationships with the Brokerage team

• Focus on winning and keeping profitable business.

• Use our state-of-the-art software to detail all potential account information.

Requirements:

• Recent college graduate with a degree in Business Administration,

Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred. (Or an equivalent combination of work and education/equivalent combination of work experience)

• 0 – 2 years of an internship or logistics experience. Must have demonstrated a strong work ethic

• Self-motivated, results focused sales and customer service orientation

• Strong negotiation and relationship building skills, and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Well organized with high attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

• Professional demeanor and self-confidence and a positive attitude

• Customer-focused team player

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
