Outbrain is seeking an entrepreneurial, founder -minded, technically savvy business professional with a proven track record of bringing new initiatives to market, to join the Strategic Initiatives team.
You will need a broad range of commercial experience and the&ability to form and lead a new team while working in a large successful organization.Your primary responsibility will span any and all activities led by the team, while working closely with internal stakeholders on bringing new initiatives to market.
With a natural ability to build and lead a new team, build long-lasting relationships, strong business acumen and with extensive market and product knowledge, you will be on the front-line of finding opportunities for partnerships and seeing through the entire cycle of securing such partnerships.&This is a high visibility position which will give the right candidate the opportunity to work extremely closely with a small, innovative team, including our CEO and have a high profile within the Publishing Industry.&Key Responsibilities:Develop a GTM strategy and plan including market positioning, communication, commercial strategy.Build annual Business Plan with Quarterly updatesHire and manage key team members in multiple marketsSecure and Develop partnerships across the digital publishing ecosystemsHelp develop new business opportunities and pricing modelsInput into product development derived from market needsRepresent Outbrain in market, with prospects, partners and at events, industry trade shows etc.This is not only a revenue generating position, but also an opportunity to build process from the ground up by developing new strategies and implement processes around our new offerings&&Experience:Deep familiarity with both the publishing and advertising ecosystems in a senior position for at least 5 yearsProven success managing a portfolio of client relationships, pipeline of business development opportunities, and solution-based sellingExperience in strategic partner engagement and management to deliver mutual, positive business impact.Experience managing and influencing senior, cross-functional stakeholders, both internal and externalExperience of working with stakeholders across time zones, locations and cultures to deliver multiple projects on plan and on timeDirect negotiations experience with external clients, both commercial and contractual&Skills:Outstanding problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and business judgmentNegotiation skills: Ability to influence, across both internal functions and external partnersStrategic and innovative thinker, who can consider strategic and tactical levels simultaneously to propose and build alternative plansAdept at uncovering the business needs of potential partners while developing plans to grow each other’s businessYou are comfortable considering and communicating contractual, technical, financial and business points with internal and external stakeholders.Good communicator, comfortable talk at conferences and events, with C suite and Functional leads&Behavior:Passionate and energetic, with a sense of urgency and with a high level of initiative and motivationDecisive and delivery focused, with the ability to form goals quickly and impeccable at follow throughHighly organized, approaching work in a structured and methodical way, ensuring that projects get executed on time and to expectationSelf motivated and comfortable moving forward with only directional input; nobody will be writing the to do list on your behalfCollaborative; a natural at working inside and across teams in a fast-growth, startup environmentSuperb communicator, in every scenario, across all stakeholder groups and with all levels of seniority&Education &
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience.Min 5 years of experience in Business Development or Strategic PartnershipsAbility to travel domestically and internationally as required&The Extra Mile – We d Love it if You:Have experience working inside or with SaaS software companiesHave existing relationships with senior stakeholders across either the publishing or digital marketing marketplaceAlready took new products to market with dependencies on external partners, leading internal and external cross-functional teamsCan effortlessly switch modes between questioning and objection handling, competitive selling and value sellingKnow your way around the publishing ecosystem&PandoLogic.
