RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Pushes to develop and recruit talent.
– Manages the selection of appropriate sources for salaried talent and conducts interviews· Develops training and development activities to align with business needs and to identify the next generation of leaders.
– Responsible for employee relations including counseling employees, conducting fact finding meetings.
– A proactive self-starter that is comfortable spending critical time on the manufacturing floor and interacting with all employees.
– A mentor and coach to the line staff, guiding them in their growth.
– Manage Workers Compensation and associated issues, disputes and changes.
– Manage company benefits program.
– Conducts training in compensation and performance discussion principles· Prepares information and input for salary and wage reviews
– Develops and improves the communication process so that all employees are aligned to strategy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field. MBA degree a plus. SPHR/PHR certification a plus.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in increasingly senior positions in HR management in a manufacturing/production environment
Knowledge:
Knowledge of all facets of the function including employee relations, compensation, benefits, organizational development and training, information systems, Federal and State employment laws, and regulatory compliance.
Skills:
Excellent communication skills; oral, written and presentation. Ability to influence others via strong relationships, negotiation and analytical skills. Proven ability to evaluate, develop, recruit, retain, coach and consult high caliber people. Ability to develop and maintain a union-free work environment in a manufacturing facility. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
