Overview

Established over 20 years ago, Vital Family Practice Center is a leading primary care clinic in Mesquite, TX. We provide inclusive medical services to the community by providing accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and immigration physicals for our patients.

We are currently looking for a professional Office Manager to help with the day-to-day onsite operations at the clinic and office administration. This should be accomplished through training, policies, meetings, a supportive and harmonious work environment, monitoring office productivity, lab management oversight, and the ability to solve escalating situations within the office. You would be working directly with the Office Director and Assistant Director.

In order to best serve our target demographic, we are looking for a bilingual candidate who speaks English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus.

Job Role

– Manages and assists the onsite operations of the clinic

– Creates and manages employee scheduling

– Manage medical equipment and office supplies

– Manages and deescalates upset, angry, or explosive clients

– Trains new staff members

– Ensures office decor and items are maintained, general office is tidy and presents well to clients (e.g., removes trash from rooms and bathrooms, chairs are organized, Keurig is filled with water, etc.)

– Delegate tasks to staff to help with the day-to-day workflow and clinic goals

– Assist the staff when needed; such as cleaning rooms, triaging, answering incoming client calls, giving shots, etc., especially during peak hours

– Works to create a positive work culture that promotes the interests of the company, the community, and our clients

Experience:

• Professional / Medical Office: 5+ years
• Candidate must have experience in the daily and business operations in the medical practice with strong hands-on experience both as medical assistants and billing general knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with peers, staff, physicians, patients/families, vendors, community groups, and other customers in a manner that represents our organization positively
• Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate training programs
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Knowledge of medical software programs
• Must speak English & Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)
