Job Purpose:
The Sr Manager, Global Talent Acquisition leads full cycle recruitment for technical and operational roles across Asia Pacific, Europe, and Africa, upholding Vital’s strong commitment to identifying exceptional talent and creating inclusive and high touch hiring manager and candidate experiences.
As part of Vital’s Talent Acquisition team, the Sr Manager, Global Talent Acquisition will contribute to the development and execution of various strategic talent acquisition process improvement and employer branding initiatives, ensuring the perspectives and needs of our Vital teams in the Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa regions are incorporated and appropriate for those regional markets.
Specific Responsibilities:
Global Talent Acquisition –

• Lead on a range of talent acquisition searches with ownership for the sourcing and screening of diverse candidates; identifying, convening, and preparing diverse interview panels; conducting reference checks; negotiating job offers; ensuring the organization’s ATS is maintained with all candidate activity, and requisitions are closed out in a timely manner.
• Communicate consistently and effectively with the talent acquisition team, global interview teams, candidates, and relevant stakeholders to ensure preparedness and transparency during every step of the recruitment process.
• Partner with hiring managers, technical staff, and senior management to source and identify high-quality talent for open positions, as well as building a pool of candidates for future opportunities.
• Research and identify new networks, and establish/nurture relationships to develop a pipeline of candidates with regional institutions in Africa, Asia and European regions
• Train hiring managers on Vital’s approach to inclusive talent acquisition, ensuring roles and responsibilities are clear for every step of the recruitment cycle.
• Maintain data integrity on all requisitions overseen.

Talent Acquisition Operations and Projects –

• In collaboration with the Director of Talent Acquisition and Management and country office HR & Ops Managers, ensure country specific talent acquisition process workflows, tools, and documentation are up to date, accurate, and readily accessible for hiring managers.
• Contribute to the overall strengthening of talent acquisition processes, documentation, and materials.
• Provide recommendations and suggestions for process improvements that lead to increased performance, efficiency, country compliance with employment laws and regulations, and best practices for hiring in Asia Pacific, Africa and Europe.
• Contribute to the development of a global suite of job advertisements, candidate assessment rubrics, and structured interview questions for interview panels to use by function.

Additional Responsibilities include, but are not limited to –

• Contribute to the development of a Talent Acquisition dashboard.
• Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices, sharing applicable information with the team.
• Represent Vital Strategies at local networking events and job fairs.
• Contribute to the strengthening of Vital’s employer brand and recommend ways to improve the visibility of our employer brand in Asia, Africa and Europe.

Education and Experience:

• BA with at least 10 years’ full-life cycle recruiting experience with 3+ years international recruiting experience
• Experience in a non-profit, international development, or public health preferred
• Experience developing & executing candidate sourcing strategies, candidate assessments through in-depth phone screens/interviews, consulting senior leaders on talent acquisition strategy, and offer negotiations
• Experience with proactive sourcing to include leveraging job boards, ATS candidates, social/professional networking associations, groups, and social media, among other methods.
• Experience with Taleo and LinkedIn Recruiter highly preferred.

• Passion for improving operational excellence and curiosity for staying on top of current trends and best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and calendaring tools.
• Knowledge of employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements as they relate to recruitment in Asia, Europe and Africa preferred.
