Medical Billing Manager, Revenue Cycle manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Revenue Cycle Manager to oversee a billing team, responsible for all aspects of Revenue Cycle Management. In this role, you will coordinate all billing and collection activities, to include: ensure maximum payment, consult providers on better billing practice, payer analysis, process improvement and more.

You must also ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare regulations.

• KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Analyze data and manage information to confirm appropriate CPT coding.
• Manage and coordinates activities of billing, collections, refunds, and payment posting personnel in the Billing Office.
• Advice on better billing practice, front end collections etc.
• Sign off on all patient accounts sent to collections and bad debt write-offs monthly.
• Coordinate with front office on all co-pays, payments, etc. taken.
• Ensure all payment information passed to controller (CFO) for month-end.
• Print all necessary reports and review with Executive Director and CFO.
• Prepare monthly billing/collection statistical information.
• Coordinate billing and collection activities
• Monitor accounts receivables activity
• Oversee monthly close processes, including reporting and account balancing
• Ensure accurate billing of insurance providers and patients
• Document medical billing denials from insurance providers
• Evaluate billing processes and procedures
• Train new staff members
• Travel to other VIVIDA Dermatology sites may be required.
• Other tasks as needed

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance, or
• 5-7 years Billing Management Experience
• Code Certified Preferred

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Managing payer contracts
• Reimbursement accuracy
• Accounts receivable management
