We are actively seeking a Unit Manager for our skilled nursing facilty.
The Unit Manager serves as liaison between the clinical unit and nursing administration. They are primarily responsible for overseeing day to day patient care, supervising, directing and developing nurse staff, and reporting to the Director of Nursing to ensure quality patient care within the skilled nursing facility.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate Degree in nursing
- Two to five years related experience and/or training.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
Job Responsibilities
- Directly supervises nursing employees in the skilled nursing facility.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Planning, assigning, directing work and staffing and schedules.
- Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
