The Senior Accountant serves as project lead in monthly, quarterly, and annual full financial close cycles; with full responsibility for preparation of internal and external reporting, including VOA National and government reporting. The Senior Accountant is also responsible for identifying, implementing, and monitoring internal controls and workflow improvements; communicating and collaborating with other programs and project teams in areas related to the organizations accounting function and reporting.

Compensation: $59,613 – $79,477/year (Depends on Experience and/or Certifications). This is a full-time position with excellent benefits! Benefits package includes medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, 403(b) with automatic 5.5% contribution after 18-months regardless of employee participation, flexible spending account, employee assistance program, and other voluntary benefits and discounts. Generous paid time off plan includes 15 days in the first year, 23 days in the second year, and 26 days in the third year.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibility: Position is not responsible for supervision of other employees.
Work Environment: This position typically works in an office environment located in Portland Oregon. Due to COVID-19, this position is currently working a hybrid schedule, with the majority of functions being performed remotely, with the possibility of returning to the office environment, full-time, or alternating office and remote hybrid work schedule in the future. This is based on operational needs and guidance from State and local officials. While this position is currently remote, the employee will need to reside in the Portland metro area by date of hire.
Schedule: This is a full time position; 40 hrs. per week; Monday through Friday. Additional hours as needed.
