We are a team of thirteen Logistics Specialists, Engineers, and Project Managers focused on creating, optimizing the full flow of parts through the end-to-end supply chain, and supporting the processes of transporting material throughout the facility, as well as, to Production areas on time, in an efficient manner and with a Continuous Improvement mindset. We collectively focus on the Industry 4.0 journey in front of us through automation and digitalization. We are committed to making Volvo more competitive through unique and creative solutions. Role Description:
As an engineer within the logistics team, you will hold an important role in the Supply Chain and Assembly teams. Activities and responsibilities will include reviewing production schedules, processes, and related information to be able to design and improve logistics processes that maximize efficiency and reduce wastes. You do this by providing engineer support with designing layouts, models, and assemblies along with detailed instructions and drawings. We continue the continue the implementation of Volvo Production Systems (VPS), which means to implement standardized ways of working and to optimize flows to create synchronization with production processes.
