As the Manager for a Maintenance function, you will hold an important role in the Hagerstown Plant Organization. You will report directly to a second line managerial level referred to as a Maintenance Area Manager. You will support the short and mid-term success of the function and the plant. The Maintenance organization has approximately 100 employees today.

Main activities and responsibilities for these roles:

• Manage your Maintenance organization against set safety, quality, delivery and financial targets by leading and coaching your maintenance team
• Continue the implementation of Volvo Production System (VPS), which means to implement standardized ways of working, develop the organization and achieve contribution from all employees
• Full accountability and ownership of your team’s development, UAW relations, project follow up, midterm road map (0-1 year) and policy deployment from plant to operator level

Excellent communication skills including working with cross functional teams are essential to be able to build networks and create trusting relationships. The ideal candidate for this position has an Associates Degree in a relevant field and five (5) years’ supervision experience in a manufacturing environment OR seven years minimum combined education and supervision experience within a manufacturing environment.
