Jennings Co. – Family owned and operated full service automotive repair facility in Southport, CT, is looking for an Automotive Technician who has a great attitude, a team player, self-motivated and enjoys working in and keeping a clean environment. Learn new things while maintaining our superior level of customer service. Someone who is able to diagnose and repair European cars that are on the road today, have 2-3 years of experience working in an actual repair shop. We are looking for all levels of technicians.

Automotive Technician Responsibilities

• Determine and investigate any malfunction codes in the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic system using skilled expertise and diagnostic tools
• Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships
• Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems
• Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes
• Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business
• Clearly articulate automotive repair issues and repairs needed to remedy them to both customers and auto mechanics

Qualifications

1. A High School Diploma or GED

2. Valid clean Driver’s License

3. We are a Drug Free Workplace.

4. ASE’s put you at the front of the line and if you can prove you can turn hours, that helps even more!
